Biography:

Jenny Glenn Wuerker paints the expanse of the West. Painting on large canvases, immersed in the elements, and battling the occasional rattlesnake, is like the X-sport of landscape painting. Her large-scale Wyoming landscapes are completed entirely outdoors from direct observation. Because she paints outside, every painting has a story.

Wuerker received her BA from Yale University in 1987, and her MFA from The American University in 1992. This year she has been honored with the 2012 Wyoming Arts Council Fellowship. In addition she has been selected for the 2012 biannual Governor’s art exhibition. She has been selected along with Aaron Wuerker and Marchel Kelley to paint two 80 foot murals in downtown Buffalo WY. Wuerker has exhibited her landscape paintings across the country in museums and galleries, most notably showing at the Nicolaysen Art Museum in Casper WY, the Yellowstone Art Museum in Billings MT, and the US House of Representatives. Her work has been featured in Southwest Art Magazine, and was included in the movie, “Did You Hear About the Morgans?” Her paintings are in public and private collections across the country including the Nicolaysen Art Museum and the McMurry Foundation. She and her husband, Aaron, own and direct Crazy Woman Fine Art Gallery in Buffalo, WY.
