Biography:
Jenny Glenn Wuerker paints the expanse of the West. Painting on big canvases, immersed in the elements, and battling the occasional rattlesnake, is like the X-sport of landscape painting. Her large-scale Wyoming landscapes are completed entirely outdoors from direct observation. Because she paints outside, every painting has a story.
Wuerker received her BA from Yale University in 1987, and her MFA from The American University in 1992. Her paintings are frequently on display at the Nicolaysen Art Museum in Casper WY, the Yellowstone Art Museum in Billings MT, Bradford Brinton Museum in Bighorn WY, or at the Ucross Foundation, Ucross WY. She has been featured in Southwest Art Magazine, and her paintings were included in the movie, “Did You Hear About the Morgans?” Her paintings are in public and private collections across the country including the Nicolaysen Art Museum.
