Biography:
    
Marchel Kelley paints Western images of cowboys, horses, and the landscape. She will be painting 80 foot murals, along with Aaron and Jenny Wuerker, in downtown Buffalo, WY this summer and next. Recently, she was recognized through an article in Wyoming Lifestyle Magazine focusing on her painting and sign painting. She began painting signs, billboards, and murals while working at Turnbow Signs in Cody, WY in 1980. This work included a 12’ x 40’ wall mural at Skate Away in Cody, WY. Following that, she worked at Signature Signs and Special-T Signs in Bellingham, WA, and in 1997, opened her own sign shop in Buffalo,WY. She has worked as a trompe l’oeil interior and exterior painter.

     Marchel is a self-taught artist, and has participated in many workshops. Her drawings and paintings typically focus on portraiture ad western horse themes. She has been recognized nationally through the Artists’ Magazine All-Media Competition and she was featured in Sign Craft Magazine. Her work was also featured in the books The Best of Colored Pencil 2 and Creative Colored Pencil Showcase
