Biography:
I was born in Kansas,
grew up in Wyoming and made friends with the wind and open spaces.
I was interested in drawing and painting as a means of capturing
appearances, much as I captured butterflies and other things. The
paper became the “net”. I attended college at the University of
Wyoming BFA/MFA 1973 majoring in Art. I then had a 25-year job in
computers to support a family and my “painting habit”. During that
time I matured and changed. I taught beginning Drawing and
Watercolor classes for the University of Wyoming Art Department,
from 1998 – 2007, and have since retired. I am interested in
picturing visual sensations, something like the feeling one gets
from a glance at this moment, of the world we are passing through. |
